John Bryan, a young vocalist/guitarist from North Carolina, has joined The Grascals. Bryan has deep family ties to the music; his grandfather, Willard Watson, was a first cousin to Doc Watson, and an excellent old-time musician and dancer himself.
Kristin Benson says, “We are so happy to welcome John into the band! With his youth, enthusiasm, and great talent he’s sure to be a blessing to all of us in the band as well as the audience.”
Terry Eldridge added, “I’m looking forward to working with this young man. I know he is loaded with a lot of talent and I am excited about the future! Welcome aboard, John…you are now a Grascal!”
The Grascals will get into the studio soon to work on new music with Bryan.

Thanks to our friends at Inside Music Row for visiting with us at our “When I Get My Pay” CD release party held at Antique Archaeology in Nashville. Terry, Terry, and Jamie were running a little late from a TV shoot so this interview has Danny and Kristin doing the talking and Adam doing the smiling! We appreciate the feature, Inside Music Row!
Enjoy the world premiere of

Here it is, friends! It’s the companion video for our song “American Pickers” which appears on WHEN I GET MY PAY (comin’ out 11/19). Yep, those are our pals Mike Wolfe from the History Channel TV show AMERICAN PICKERS and superstar/all-around-good-guy Dierks Bentley making guest appearances. We love those guys! Whatcha think???
The Grascals are very pleased to announce the addition of fiddler Adam Haynes to the band. Adam has an impressive pedigree having played with some of the finest: Melvin Goins & Windy Mountain, The James King Band, David Parmley & Continental Divide, Dailey & Vincent, Larry Stephenson Band, and most recently Grasstowne. Adam is originally from Norwalk, OH but spent quite some time in Eastern Kentucky where his family has roots as deep as bluegrass. Adam currently makes his home in Portland, TN with his wife, Janette, and two daughters, Bella (8) and Ellie (3).
The Grascals are happy to have Adam in the band and look forward to their fans and friends being able to hear him play.
Dierks Bentley and The Grascals backstage at Riverfront during CMA Music Fest. Dierks surprised fans with an appearance during the award winning bluegrass band’s performance; joining in on the tune “American Pickers” which was co-written by Jamie Johnson, Iodine and Jeffrey East. Dierks later brought his two young daughters onstage to the delight of the crowd and Terry Eldredge danced with one of the young’uns. Dierks is a co-writer (along with Jamie Johnson and Ronnie Bowman) on the title cut of The Grascals’ Grammy-nominated album, Life Finds A Way.
